To date we have finish 99% of our domestic jobs in 1 day, allowing for minimum disruption to you and your family.

Can i lay my new floor over existing tiles?

Yes, But it is not ideal, as the end result is not always as good when you don’t start with the original sub flooring, some things to think about are, do you get a warranty for your new flooring, will doors need to cut down, will your dishwasher still fit under your bench top to name a few.

Will the floor be smooth and level?

Diamond grinding will ensure a smooth finished result for 99% of floors but not necessarily level in some cases the sub floor is in poor condition to start with, this in turn dictates the end result

Do tiles come up easy?

Only if they are laid poorly, with top of the line equipment and the appropriate skills we make tile removal look a lot easier than it actually is.

Do you need to see my job?

No, we carry all the equipment we need to complete all our jobs

I’ve popped the tile up, but there is still adhesive what do i do?

Getting the tile up is only half the job, in most cases it does not help us. Our technique for jackhammering takes the tile and the majority of the adhesive at the same time we then diamond grind the residual adhesive

Will it be dusty?

Yes, the demolition process will be dusty. We do have “dust limiting” equipment, though. We will provide and install drop sheets and tape to minimise the spread of dust throughout the work area. Also, we perform a thorough vacuum of the work area upon completion.

Q: How much does it cost to remove tiles?

A: Tile removal can vary in price, depending on the finish you require Don’t be fooled by cheaper operators!

Q: I found a quote cheaper than Hammer and grind, Why?

A: As with all things there are factors that dictate prices such as, Quality of workmanship, Quality equipment, insurances, knowledge and trust, these factor come into play when making a decision Often the cheapest price can result in an inferior finished product

Q: Do you have a minimum charge?

A: Yes, we have developed a competitive rate for small jobs under 20 square metres

A: Yes, there is quite a bit of noise it is always a good idea to notify neighbours where possible prior to work taking place

A: No, it is not essential

A: In most cases the answer is yes although additional preparation may be required depending on what type of flooring you are re laying

A: Yes, If you have the spare time, but is always easier and quicker for you if you use us

A: The cheapest option is normally for the client to supply a skip bin where possible.

Q: A few of my tiles sound hollow when i tap them, Why?

A: This generally means the bond to the sub floor has failed, the structure of the floor covering is compromised
